Strengthening family-owned companies on a long-term basis through the right, optimal staffing of management and their supervision: This was my objective when I founded HEADSAHEAD in 2007.

My heart beats for the mid-sized sector and entrepreneurship. I advise owners, family members, supervisory boards and executive boards on the staffing of top-level positions with tact and passion. In doing so, I know what the challenges are regarding key personnel decisions in family-run companies from my own experience – for example, concerning the succession or the job of bringing together various shareholders’ opinions and interests.

In addition, I support private equity firms and private investor groups that acquire shares in medium-sized enterprises and pursue growth strategies. Here, I find leadership personalities who not only have experience with financial investors, but are also highly sensitive regarding interaction with “old guard shareholders” and a well-established culture. In all projects, I’m inspired by my clients’ success stories and the exciting facets of the people I get to know in each process.

Prior to joining HEADSAHEAD, I completed a professional training programme at the Deutsche Bank after graduating from high school, and then studied business management in Bayreuth. I began my career with Deloitte in the auditing industry, and subsequently gained experience as a management consultant in the DZ Bank’s client portfolio business unit, and as a member of the executive board of the Deutsche Bank’s consulting division for small- and medium-sized enterprises.

I then switched over to the family-owned company Lenze, a hidden champion in the automation technology segment, as commercial managing director. I serve as chairman of the board of directors for the shares my family holds in the Hülpert Group, and I am the vice chairman of the supervisory board at Knauf Interfer SE. I support BeyondBuild, a venture fund for digital business models in the real estate industry, as an advisory board member.
