Over the last twenty years of my professional career in corporate governance, I have been able to work closely with many fascinating personalities. The intensive and confidential discussions with members of the Management Board and Supervisory Board have shown me how important good corporate governance is for the sustainable success of a company. This requires special characters with a wide range of professional and personal qualities. Finding precisely these leadership personalities for the very specific situation of our clients is a real task of mine. Together with the HEADSAHEAD team, I can draw on my extensive experience and a broad network to do this

In my many years working for the Management Board and Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank, I was involved in the many facets of corporate governance. Among other things, as an employee in the Corporate Office I managed the office of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board and further developed the advisory committees and the bank’s European Advisory Board. This ultimately led to the establishment and management of the office for the entire Supervisory Board in order to provide the Supervisory Board with professional advice and support. I was always impressed by the different backgrounds and wide-ranging professional experience of the Supervisory Board members. My work also focussed on capital market transactions and the restructuring of companies.

I also contribute this experience and interdisciplinary knowledge in various functions. In addition to an honorary professorship for corporate governance at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, I am a member of several committees that deal with good corporate governance. I am co-editor of the Handbook for Supervisory Board members and of the BOARD, a journal for supervisory board members in Germany, and author of numerous articles on improving corporate governance.

I am married, have a student daughter and a wide range of interests, including capital markets, business and politics. My sporting passion is road cycling, not only in the beautiful surroundings of Frankfurt, but also when travelling.
